    Let \(X\) denote a compact Hausdorff space and \(\{T_ t\}_{t\in\mathbb{R}}\) denote a continuous flow on \(X\), i.e. a one-parameter group of homeomorphisms of \(X\), such that \(T_ tx\) is continuous as a function of \((x,t)\). Fix a quasi-invariant, positive bounded, regular Borel measure \(\mu\) on \(X\), i.e. null-sets are preserved under ``translation'' by \(\{T_ t\}\). A function \(\varphi\) in \(L^ \infty(\mu)\) is called analytic, if the function \(\varphi(T_ t x)\) is in the usual Hardy space \(H^ \infty(\mathbb{R})\) for \(\mu\)-a.e. \(x\) in \(X\). The space of all (bounded) analytic functions is denoted by \(H^ \infty(\mu)\). (\(\mu\) is not assumed to be multiplicative.) Using the Poisson kernel \[ p_ z(t):={1\over\pi} {{\text{Im }z} \over {| t-z|^ 2}} \] for the upper halfplane \(\mathbb{R}_ +^ 2\), for each \(\varphi\in H^ \infty(\mu)\), the convolution \[ \varphi* p_{ir}(T_ t x):=\int_{- \infty}^ \infty \varphi(T_ t x)p_{ir}(T_ t x)dt, \qquad r>0 \] represents the analytic extension of \(\varphi(T_ t x)\) to \(\mathbb{R}_ +^ 2\). The author proves the following corona theorem: Let \(H^ \infty(\mu)\) be as above and \(\varepsilon\) be given, \(0<\varepsilon<1\). Suppose that \(\varphi_ 1,\dots,\varphi_ N\in H^ \infty(\mu)\) satisfy \(\| \varphi_ j\|_ \infty\leq 1\), \(1\leq j\leq N\), and \(\max_{1\leq j\leq N}|\varphi_ j*p_{ir}(x)|\geq1-\varepsilon\) for \(\mu\)-a.e. \(x\) in \(X\) and all \(r>0\). Then there are \(\psi_ 1,\dots,\psi_ N\in H^ \infty(\mu)\) such that \(\psi_ 1\varphi_ 1+\dots+\psi_ N\varphi_ N=1\), and \(\|\psi_ j\|_ \infty\leq 1+C(N)\cdot\bigl(\log{1\over\varepsilon}\bigr)^{-1}\). (Hereby, \(C(N)\) denotes a constant only depending on \(N\).) The author proves his result by reducing the general case to the setting of Cylinder algebras \(H^ \infty((Y,\nu),T)\), where \((Y,\nu)\) denotes a probability space and \(T\) the unit circle. This reduction is done using quasi flows built under a function, a concept due to \textit{W. Ambrose} [Ann. Math., II. Ser. 42, 723-739 (1941; Zbl 0025.26901)]. It resembles the transition from multiply connected plane domains to the open unit disk via automorphic functions.
