The authors study prime ideals in enveloping algebra smash products and in algebras on which divided power Hopf algebras act. The first part focuses on bounding lengths of chains of prime ideals when the Lie algebra is abelian of prime characteristic. In the second part, the divided power Hopf algebra \(H\) is to act locally nilpotently on the algebra \(R\). The authors obtain a bound on the lengths of chains of primes of \(R\), each having the same \(H\)-invariant ideal. In the case of characteristic zero, they give upper and lower bounds for the Krull dimension of \(R\sharp U(L)\), \(L\) a finite-dimensional abelian Lie algebra. The two parts are connected by a duality relation. In particular, the authors use a duality theorem of \textit{R. Blattner} and \textit{S. Montgomery} [J. Algebra 95, 153-172 (1985; Zbl 0589.16010)].
