Spherical functions on some \(p\)-adic classical groups (Q1180769)

The author gives an explicit description of spherical functions on some classical \(p\)-adic groups and counts the number of double cosets by the maximal compact subgroups. From these results, it becomes possible to write down explicitly the so called Satake transform of Hecke algebras of these classical groups. The author obtains the results for the case of the ``orthogonal'' groups, the ``symplectic'' groups, and some type of ``unitary'' groups.
