The aim of this paper is to apply general results of the first part [Jap. J. Math., New Ser. 16, 31-95 (1990)] for studying the embedding of discrete series representations into induced representations in the case of the group \(G=SU(2,2)\). This group has two proper cuspidal parabolic subgroups: minimal one \(P_ 1\) and maximal one \(P_ 2\). The unipotent radicals \(N_ 1\) and \(N_ 2\) correspond to them. The author considers \(G\)-modules \(R_{\xi,N}=\hbox{Ind}^ G_ N(\xi)\) induced from any character \(\xi\) of the unipotent subgroup \(N=N_ 1\) or \(N_ 2\). The author classifies the discrete series into three subcategories. (1) Holomorphic and anti-holomorphic discrete series are characterized by the property that they never occur in \(R_{\xi,N}\) with generic \(\xi\) and \(N=N_ 1\) or \(N_ 2\). (2) There exist precisely two discrete series that appear in all \(R_{\xi,N}\)'s, and so in particular they have ordinary Whittaker models. (3) The remaining two discrete series can be embedded, with finite multiplicity, into generalized Gelfand-Graev representations \(R_{\xi,N_ 2}\) with certain generic \(\xi\)'s.
