[For part I of this paper see the second author, ibid. 55, No. 3, 303-314 (1988; Zbl 0656.13017).] The paper studies the rank of indecomposable modules over a reduced, commutative Noetherian ring \(R\) of Krull dimension one which has finitely generated normalization \(S\). Let \(P_ 1,\dots,P_ s\) be the minimal primes of \(R\). For a finitely generated and torsionfree module \(M\) over \(R\) let \(r_ i\) be the dimension of the vector space \((M/P_ i M)_{P_ i}\) over the field \((R/P_ i)_{P_ i}\). Then \((r_ 1,\dots,r_ s)\) is called the rank of \(M\). If \(\text{rank}(M)= (r,\dots,r)\), we say that \(M\) has constant rank \(r\) and also that \(\text{rank}(M)= r\). The main result of this paper shows that if the residue fields of \(S\) are separable over the corresponding residue fields of \(R\) and if \(R\) has bounded representation type, i.e. there exists a positive integer \(N\) such that \(\text{rank}(M)\leq (N,\dots,N)\) for every \(M\), then the rank of every indecomposable \(R\)-module of constant rank is \(\leq 39\).
