Generalized fundamental equations on the submanifolds of a manifold \(ESX_ n\) (Q1181813)

The authors investigate some necessary and sufficient conditions for submanifolds of \(ESX_ n\) to be also Einstein and derive the generalized fundamental equations on various submanifolds of \(ESX_ n\), such as generalized Gauss formulas, generalized Weingarten equations, and generalized Gauss-Codazzi equations. The concept of \(ESX_ n\) was previously defined by \textit{K. T. Chung}, \textit{K. S. So} and \textit{J. W. Lee} [Int. J. Theor. 28, No. 8, 851-866 (1989; Zbl 0698.53008)]. The authors employ the concept of \(C\)-nonholonomic frame of reference, introduced in an earlier work [see part II, ibid. 28, No. 8, 867-873 (1989; Zbl 0698.53009)].
