The author proposes a new approach to the inverse problem of quantum scattering at fixed angular momentum. The approach differs principally from the traditional Gel'fand-Levitan method. In this approach, the energy levels, normalization constants and the Jost function of the problem on the interval with a variable left boundary are considered. These functions, labeled by the energy, satisfy an infinite system of ordinary first-order differential equations. The scattering data servs as initial conditions for this system and the inverse scattering problem is reduced to the Cauchy problem. The characteristic feature of this new approach is that the equations are convenient for the direct application of the numerical methods for the Cauchy problem. Some numerical methods are presented and they show the high accuracy in the reconstruction of the potential even with the simplest computational algorithms.
