The aim of this paper is to present a theory for projective-invariant construction from a sequence of control points of a piecewise rational curve of arbitrary degree joining with continuity of certain geometric properties of the curve. Two recursive methods are presented together with 6 theorems and 15 figures. The algorithm for evaluating a given curve segment generalizes the Cox-de Boor algorithm for \(B\)-splines.
