Ammann bars and quasicrystals (Q1184156)

Recall that \textit{L. Danzer} [Discrete Math. 76, No. 1, 1-7 (1989; Zbl 0681.52007)] constructed a family of four tetrahedra which allows, with certain matching conditions, only aperiodic tilings. In connecting with the matching condition he asked whether there exist three-dimensional analogues of the Ammann bars of planar Penrose tilings. The present paper gives a positive answer to this question. The author constructs a family of planes being analogues of Ammann bars in the Danzer's tiling.
