The propagation of a pulse through the theoretical fractal network is considered. The paper represents an introduction to this problem and a short survey about it. Numerous picture examples of fractals are demonstrated. The concepts of heterogeneity, self-similarity, fractal dimensionality are discussed. The notions of partion function for fractals with random length of segments are introduced. The branching networks are considered separately and the notion of pulse propagation time for thiers is introduced. It is the summation of the individual propagation times for each of the pathways in the network. The concept of multi-fractal scaling for the adaptive branching network model is discussed.
