A model for thermal diffusion in a water drop is described. The drop is subject to body heating and is subject to thermal and evaporation losses at the boundary. The boundary thus is an unknown to be determined. Under the symmetry assumed, the authors develop an approximate solution technique in terms of a particular form for the solution in which parameters are described by ordinary differential equations. Numerical results are presented.
