Finite nonassociative division rings \(T\), which \textit{D. E. Knuth} [J. Algebra 2, 182--217 (1965; Zbl 0128.25604)] called semifields, of even dimension greater than 6 over finite fields of odd characteristic are constructed such that the set \(T^ \#\) of non-zero elements in \(T\) is generated by the left multiplication of a single element \(p\), i.e. \(T^ \#=\{1,p.1,p.(p.1),\ldots,p(p(\ldots(p.1)\ldots)),\ldots\}\). The author believes this result strengthens the conjecture that every finite semifield can be generated in this way.
