A real ordered space is a totally ordered space with the reals as underlying set. The product of two real ordered spaces is called an ordered plane. Each completely regular ordered space \(X\) allows a largest \(T_ 2\)-ordered compactification \(\beta_ 0 X\). In this note it is shown that an ordered plane \(P\) is always \(T_ 4\)-ordered, and is a \(c\)- space if and only if it has one of four topologies. This gives necessary and sufficient conditions for \(\beta_ 0 P\) and the Wallman ordered compactification \(w_ 0 P\) to coincide.
