Let \(k\) be a field, \(S\) a finite poset. \(\text{Rep}(k,S)\) denotes the category of representations of \(S\), i.e. finite dimensional vector spaces \(U\) together with subspaces \(U(s)\) (\(s\in S\)) with \(U(s)\subseteq U(t)\) whenever \(s\leq t\). Elementary constructions of the Coxeter correspondences \(C^ +\), \(C^ -\) on \(\text{Rep}(k,S)\) are given and fundamental properties arising from the given construction are derived. Moreover it is shown that \(C^ +\), \(C^ -\) are special cases of Auslander-Reiten translates. If \(S_ n\) is an antichain of \(n\) points then indecomposable representations \({\mathcal U}=(U,U(s),s\in S_ n)\) can be characterized by \((\dim U\), \(\dim U(s)\), \(s\in S_ n\)), if \(\mathcal U\) is of the form \(C^{+r}({\mathcal X})\) or \(C^{-r}({\mathcal X})\) \((r\in\mathbb{N})\) for a rank-1 represesentation \({\mathcal X}\). Let \(\chi\) be an \(n\)-tuple of rank-1 representations and let \(G[\chi]\), \(G(\chi)\in \text{Rep}(k,S)\) be obtained as the cokernel and kernel of particular canonical mappings. It is shown that \(G[\chi]\) and \(G(\chi)\) can be viewed as generalizations of \(C^ +\) and \(C^ -\). Criteria for the indecomposability of \(G[\chi]\) and \(G(\chi)\) are given. The main result is that indecomposable representations of this form, where \(\chi\) is either cotrimmed or trimmed resp., can be characterized by invariants. Since there is a correspondence between representations of posets and particular torsion free Abelian groups the given results yield a classification of a certain subclass of strongly indecomposable finite rank Butler groups.
