Using the contraction mapping principle the author proves some existence results for the equation \(x=Tx\) where \(Tx=y+B(x,x)\), \(B\) is a bounded bilinear operator from \(E\times E\) to \(E\), \(y\) is a fixed element from \(E\) and \(E\) is a Banach space.
