Es sei \(f\) eine meßbare Funktion mit \(\int^ 1_{-1}(1-x)^ \alpha(1+x)^ \beta| f(x)| dx<\infty\). Die \(k\)-te Partialsumme der Fourier-Jacobi Entwicklung \(f(x)\sim\sum^ \infty_{n=0}a_ nP_ n^{(\alpha,\beta)}(x)\) wird mit \(S_ k(x)\) bezeichnet. Mit nichtnegativen Folgen \(\{p_ n\}(p_ n\geq p_{n+1})\), \(\{q_ n\}(q_ n\leq q_{n+1})\) wird \(t_ n^{p,q}(x)={1\over R_ n}\sum^ n_{k=0}p_{n-k}q_ kS_ k(x)\) gesetzt, wobei \(R_ n=\sum^ n_{k=0}p_{n-k}q_ k\) und \(P_ n=p_ 0+\cdots+p_ n\) sind. Es seien \(\psi(t)\) und \(\theta(t)\) nichtnegative, monoton wachsende Funktionen mit \(\psi(n)\log n=O(\theta(P_ n))\) \((n\to\infty)\). Unter den folgenden Voraussetzungen \(-{1\over 2}\leq\alpha<{1\over 2}\), \(\beta>-{1\over 2}\); \(q_ nP_ n=O(R_ n\log n)\) \((n\to\infty)\), \[ \sum^ n_{k=2}{P_ k\over k^{(2\alpha+3)/2}\log k}=O\left({R_ n\over q_ nn^{(2\alpha+1)/2}}\right)\;(n\to\infty), \] \[ \int^ t_ 0| f(\cos\varphi)-A| |\sin{\varphi\over 2}|^{2\alpha+1} |\cos{\varphi\over 2}|^{2\beta+1}d\varphi=O\left({\psi(t)t^{2\alpha+2}\over \theta(P[1/t])} \right)(t\to 0), \] \[ \int^ b_{-1}(1+x)^{(\beta- \alpha-1)/2}| f(x)| dx<\infty\quad (-1<b<1), \] gilt \(t_ n^{p,q}(1)\to A\) \((n\to\infty)\).
