Due to \textit{Ky Fan's} famous generalization of Schauder's fixed point principle [Math. Ann. 163, 189--203 (1966; Zbl 0138.37401)], any continuous map \(f: C\to X\), where \(C\) is a compact convex subset of a Banach space \(X\), has a point \(x_0\in X\) such that \(\| x_0 - f(x_0)\|=d(f(x_0),C)\). In this paper, the author proves a parallel result in case \(C\) is a Chebyshev set. Moreover, some simple examples are given.
