Form of this work is between a monograph and a graduate level textbook containing various theoretical derivations as well as many relevant applications of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) processes both in laboratory and in astrophysical conditions. Its text is divided into seven major chapters: 1. A review of basic MHD principles and corresponding equations with boundary conditions; 2. Diffusion and convection of magnetic fields with application to dynamo theories; 3. MHD equilibria (including magnetohydrostatics and a free boundary problem) and MHD wave characteristics; 4. Properties of duct flows in a transverse magnetic field; 5. Properties of various unbounded flows including MHD Rayleigh problem, MHD wake and MHD jet; 6. Flows with closed streamlines and comparisons with experimental results; 7. MHD stability and turbulence for various flow patterns including the two-dimensional turbulence. Finally, an extensive and updated list of references is given at the end of the text.
