For a given \(n\in\mathbb{N}\), consider pairs \((t,J)\), where \(J=\times^ n_ 1 [a_ i,b_ i]\subset\mathbb{R}^ n\), \(a_ i< b_ i\), \(t\in J\). Let \(Z\) be a set whose elements are such pairs and \(\mathcal Z\) a system of sets \(Z\) of this type. Under some assumptions on \(\mathcal Z\), the authors define the \({\mathcal Z}\)-integral as a generalization of the Kurzweil-Henstock definition of the Perron integral by postulating that the subdivisions figuring in the Riemann-type sum belong to \(\mathcal Z\). They give a descriptive definition of the \({\mathcal Z}\)-integral with the help of suitably defined \({\mathcal Z}-\text{ACG}^ \nabla\) functions and \({\mathcal Z}\)-differentiable functions. They also present theorems on the convergence of the \({\mathcal Z}\)-integrals of the members of a sequence \((f_ j)\) to the \({\mathcal Z}\)-integral of the limit function.
