Statistical modelling of the surface discharge of a gas into the approach stream (Q1190100)

The authors study three-dimensional nonstationary motions of compressible gases. It is supposed that the motion is described by the Boltzmann equation. Using the Monte Carlo approach originated by \textit{G. A. Bird} [Annu. Rev. Fluid Mech. 10, 11--31 (1978; Zbl 0403.76060)] (the so-called direct-simulation method), the authors compute the solution of the problem of interaction between two inviscid gas flows.
