Following the terminology of \textit{V. I. Arnol'd} [Commun. Pure Appl. Math. 42, No. 7, 993-1000 (1989; Zbl 0692.16012)] an \(A\)-algebra is a graded \(\mathbb{C}\)-algebra \(\mathbb{C}[x_ 1,\dots,x_ n]=\sum_{i\geq 0}R_ i\) with \({\dim_ \mathbb{C} R_ i\leq 1}\) for all \(i\) and \(\dim_ \mathbb{C} R_ i=1\) for those degrees \(i\) in the semigroup generated by the degrees \(p_ j=\deg x_ j\) of the homogeneous generators \(x_ j\) \((j=1,\dots,n)\). The symbol \(A(p_ 1,\dots,p_ n)\) is used for those \(A\)-algebras with the (minimal set of) generators \(x_ j\) with degrees \(p_ 1<p_ 2<\cdots<p_ n\). The main purpose of the note is to supply proofs of results of Arnol'd (loc. cit.) for the construction and enumeration of all \(A(p_ 1,p_ 2,p_ 3)\) algebras. Also included are some remarks on the classification of \(A(p_ 1,\dots,p_ n)\) algebras in terms of the integer points \((a_ 1,\dots,a_ n)\) of the plane \(\sum^ n_{j=0}p_ ja_ j=0\), corresponding to equalities between monomials in the \(x_ i\).
