Le \(F\) be a non-lattice distribution function on the real line, and let \(W\) be the class of bounded functions \(w\) without discontinuity of the second kind such that \[ \min\{w(t-0),w(t+0)\}\leq w(t)\leq\max\{w(t- 0),w(t+0)\}\text{ for each } t. \] The author proves that the solution of the homogeneous renewal equation \(w=w*F\) in the class \(W\) equals constant.
