Let \(T\) a nonempty set of real numbers with the properties: i) \(T\) is countable; ii) There are negative numbers \(\alpha\) and positive numbers \(\beta\) satisfying \(-\alpha>M\) and \(\beta>M\) for every \(M>0\) for every \(M>0\) the set \(\{t\in T: | t|\leq M\}\) is finite. We denote by \(\mathcal U\) the family of all sets \(T\) which have these properties. The metric space \((\mathcal U,\rho)\) is complete, where \(\rho(T_ 1,T_ 2):=\inf_ \varphi\sup_{t\in T_ 1} |\varphi(t)-t|\) and the inferior bound is considered for all bijections \(\varphi: T_ 1\to T_ 2\), \(T_ 1,T_ 2\in{\mathcal U}\). The set \(T\in {\mathcal U}\) is almost periodic in Bohr's sense (a.p.-Bohr) if for every \(\varepsilon>0\) it exists \(t(\varepsilon)>0\) such that in every interval of length \(t(\varepsilon)\) there exists a number \(\tau\) which satisfies \(\rho(T,T+\tau)<\varepsilon\). The set \(T\in{\mathcal U}\) is almost periodic in a strong sense if its elements \(t_ k\), \(k\) integer number, can be represented as a double sequence of number \((t^ j_ k)\), \(j\), \(k\) integer numbers, such that for every integer \(j\), the set \(\{t^ j_ k\}\), \(k\) integer number, is almost periodic. The authors call it an almost periodic representation. The basic result is the following theorem: A set \(T\) is a.p.-Bohr if and only if \(T\) is a.p. in a strong way. There exists an a.p. representation of the set \(T\) which is a increasing sequence.
