A quojection is a Fréchet space \(F\) which is the projective limit of a sequence of Banach spaces \(X_ n\) and surjective linear maps \(R_ n: X_ n\to X_{n-1}\). \(F\) is a quojection if and only if every quotient of it with a continuous norm is a Banach space. A quojection is said to be twisted if it is not isomorphic to a countable product of Banach spaces. The author of this note presents an example of a twisted quojection with an unconditional finite-dimensional decomposition (FDD) in subspaces of dimension 2 (2-FDD in short) and with a basis. The method also applies to nuclear spaces and allows to produce a nuclear Fréchet space with 2-FDD which is not the product of spaces with continuous norms. Let \(F\) be a Fréchet space and let \((F_ n)\) be a sequence of closed subspaces of \(F\). \((F_ n)\) is said to be a Schauder decomposition of \(F\) if for every \(x\) in \(F\) there is a unique expansion \(x=\sum_ n x_ n\), with \(x_ n\in F_ n\). If \(F_ n\) is finite-dimensional for any \(n\), it is said that \((F_ n)\) is a finite-dimensional decomposition of \(F\) (FDD). It is said that \((F_ n)\) is a strong finite-dimensional decomposition of \(F\) (SFDD) if \(r=\sup\dim(F_ n)<\infty\) and in this case we say that \((F_ n)\) is an \(r\)-FDD of \(F\). A typical theorem is: Let \(F\) be a quojection with an SFDD. Then \(F\) has a basis.
