Thin-tall Boolean algebras are special superatomic Boolean algebras which are subalgebras of the power set algebra of \(\omega\). In this paper the authors generalize the method of generating sequences. They have the idea to hold the columns closed. This makes it possible to code stationary subsets of \(\omega_ 1\) in thin-tall Boolean algebras and to construct \(2^{\omega_ 1}\) pairwise nonisomorphic thin-tall Boolean algebras. In fact they do more: They show that for each countable group \(G\) there are \(2^{\omega_ 1}\) pairwise nonisomorphic thin-tall Boolean algebras, all of them representing \(G\) as a group of non-trivial automorphisms.
