Nonorientable voltage graph imbeddings are used to construct nonorientable octagonal imbeddings of certain 4-regular bipartite Cayley graphs for finite metacyclic groups. A subclass of examples is described for which the imbedding realizes the nonorientable genus of the group, yielding also a class of Cayley graphs \(G\) for which \(2\gamma- \tilde\gamma\) is arbitrarily large, where \(\gamma\) and \(\tilde\gamma\) are the orientable and nonorientable genus of \(G\), respectively.
