A Poisson Lie group is a Lie group endowed with a Poisson structure \(P\) such that one has \(P_{gh}=L_{g*}P_ h+R_{h*}P_ g\), \(\forall g,h\in G\). Then \(P_ e=0\) and the derivatives of \(P\) define a Lie algebra structure on the dual \({\mathcal G}^*\) of the Lie algebra \(\mathcal G\) of \(G\). The Poisson structure \(P\) is linearizable if there exist local coordinates around \(e\) such that the tensor field \(P^{ij}\) becomes equal to its linear part \((P^{ij}=C^{ij}_ kx^ k)\). The authors study the case of the Iwasawa Poisson Lie structure on a compact Lie group [see \textit{J. H. Lu} and \textit{A. Weinstein}, J. Differ. Geom. 31, No. 2, 501-526 (1990; Zbl 0673.58018)], showing that it is not linearizable except when \(G\) is a product of \(\text{SU}(2)\)'s.
