    This paper deals with two parameters for fractals, where a fractal is a subset \(E\) of \(\mathbb{R}^ n\) such that \(0<H^ s(E)<\infty\) for the \(s\)- dimensional Hausdorff measure \(H^ s\) with \(0<s\leq n\) as the Hausdorff dimension of \(E\). These parameters are the \textit{centre of mass} of \(E\) which is said to be the point \(c=(c_ k)\in\mathbb{R}^ n\), \(k=1,\dots,n\), whose coordinates \(c_ k\) are \[ c_ k={\int_ E x_ k dH^ s(x)\over H^ s(E)},\quad x=(x_ 1,\dots,x_ n),\quad k=1,\dots,n, \] and the \textit{moment of inertia} of \(E\) with respect to \(a\in\mathbb{R}^ n\) which is defined as follows: \[ I_ a(E)=\int_ E| a-x|^ 2 dH^ s(x). \] If \(E\) is now a selfsimilar fractal associated to some similarities \(\varphi_ 1,\dots,\varphi_ m\) with similarity ratio \(r_ 1,\dots,r_ m\) and which satisfies the open set condition then the following formulas are proved: \[ c_ k=\sum^ m_{i=1} r^ s_ i(\varphi_ i(c))_ k,\;\text{for }k=1,\dots,m,\quad I_ c(E)=\sum^ m_{i=1}\bigl[r^{s+2}_ i I_ c(E)+r^ s_ i H^ s(E)| c- \varphi_ i(c)|^ 2\bigr]. \] {}.
