A two-point boundary value problem for the functional-differential equation \(c''=f(x,c(x),\) \(c'(0))\), \(a_ 1c'(0)+a_ 2c(0)+a_ 3=0\), \(b_ 1c'(1)+b_ 2c(1)+b_ 3=0\) is studied where \(a_ i\), \(b_ i\) are constants. This problem is studied by a method based on the Galerkin method. Applications to gas absorption with chemical reaction are given.
