This paper deals with the electromagnetic inverse problem for a point source above an inhomogeneous dissipative slab of permittivity \(\varepsilon(z)\) and conductivity \(\sigma(z)\) where \(z\) is the depth. The inverse problem of reconstructing these two functions from measured data on the slab surfaces is solved by means of two algorithms based on invariant imbedding equations and using the Hankel transform. Numerical results are presented for noisy data.
