For the Jacobi-Gauss quadrature sequence \(S_ n\) when the integrand is an analytic function with a logarithmic singularity or with a branch point on the real axis an asymptotic representation of the errors \(S-S_ n\) (\(S\)=limit of \(S_ n\)) and of \(S_{n+1}-S_ n\) is derived. This leads to building new sequences with convergence acceleration. Numerical results are given.
