Kazama-Suzuki models for a heterotic string with nonfractional central charges naturally arise from compactification schemes based on tensor products of supersymmetric coset spaces. In this letter, the author investigates whether some of these coset models admit a simpler description in terms of free bosons defined on a lattice. Examples are studied in detail and a criterion for a bosonic realization is given.
