Chain geometries over associative algebras are generalizations of the classical Möbius, Laguerre, and Minkowski planes. In the paper under review chain geometries over local alternative algebras are introduced. The usual homogeneous coordinate approach cannot be used. However, there is available the approach described by \textit{A. Herzer}, `Chain geometries' in: Handbook of incidence geometry, ed. F. Buekenhout, North- Hollend, Amsterdam, to appear. All isomorphisms between the geometries studied herein are determined, and they are the natural generalizations of the classical isomorphisms. Finally, these geometries are embedded into chain geometries over associative algebras.
