Let \(X\) be a complex normed linear space and let \(c(X)\) and \(\omega(X)\) denote the spaces of all convergent sequences and all sequences of elements of \(X\) respectively. If \(X\) and \(Y\) are linear normed spaces, \(A=(A_{nk})\) an infinite matrix of linear operators from \(X\) into \(Y\) and \(x=(x_ k)\in \omega(X)\), then the transformed sequence \(Ax\) is defined as \(\sum_ k A_{nk} x_ k\). For \(E\subset\omega(X)\), and \(F\subset \omega(Y)\) the set \((E,F)\) is defined as the aggregate of all matrices \(A\) such that \(Ax\in F\) whenever \(x\in E\). Let \(\Delta X\) be the algebra of lower triangular matrices \(A\in (c(X),c(X))\) where each \(A_{nk}\) is a bounded linear operator on \(X\). As the main result, the authors obtained conditions for a matrix \(A=(A_{nk})\) to lie in the maximal group \(G(X)\) of \(\Delta X\).
