The Hölder continuity of the variational inequality \(u_ t- \text{div}(|\nabla u|^{p-2}\nabla u)+b(x,t,u,\nabla u)\geq 0\) is proved. This is based on inequalities of the Poincaré and Harnack type, together with a Campanato type integral inequality. The Hölder continuity of the gradient \(\nabla u\) is also proved.
