    The papes considers \(\ell_ 1\)-optimal control problems occurring for discrete time systems with full state feedback, scalar control and scalar disturbance. For the singular case (one regulated output) sufficient conditions are given for the existence of a static \(\ell_ 1\)-optimal controller. In the general case this \(\ell_ 1\)-optimal controller is dynamic. For the nonsingular case (two regulated outputs among which one is exactly the scalar control) there is no static \(\ell_ 1\)-optimal controller.
