    The authors investigate the system \(\dot x(t)= h[Ax(t)]\), \(t\geq 0\) where the vector \(x\) is defined on a closed hypercube of \(\mathbb{R}^ n\) and the \(i\)th component of \(h\) is \(\sum_ j a_{ij} x_ j\) when \(-1< x_ i<1\) and 0 when \(x_ i= 1,-1\). Since the system differs from ordinary ones, there are equilibria other than the origin. After defining \(\mu_ \infty(A)= \max_{1\leq i\leq n}\bigl\{a_{ii}+\sum_{j\neq i}| a_{ij}|\bigr\}\), a theorem is given that the equilibrium \(x_ e= 0\) is globally asymptotically stable if \(\mu_ \infty(A)< \infty\).
