Let \(S\) be an inner product space. The set \(E(S)\) of all splitting subspaces of \(S\) is an orthocomplemented orthomodular poset. In this paper the author investigates conditions on systems of regular finitely additive measures on \(E(S)\) which guarantee the completeness of the space \(S\). For example, \(S\) is complete if each regular finitely additive measure on \(E(S)\) has a support in \(E(S)\). It is shown that the obtained results can be generalized to more general quadratic spaces (inner product spaces not over the field of real or complex numbers). Some open problems of measure theory on \(E(S)\) are presented.
