Extensions of representations of \(p\)-adic nilpotent groups (Q1201332)

Let \(G\) be a nilpotent \(p\)-adic group and \(\widehat {G}\) the set of equivalence classes of irreducible algebraic representations of \(G\). \(\widehat {G}\) is equipped with a topology. It is proved that \(\text{Ext}^ n(\pi_ 1,\pi_ 2)=0\) for \(n\geq 0\), when \(\pi_ 1\) and \(\pi_ 2\) are two algebraic representations of \(G\) whose irreducible constituents belong to two disjoint closed subsets of \(\widehat{G}\).
