In this paper `quantum group' is a quantum group in the sense of Woronowicz. The author generalizes the notion of the principal fibre bundle with a structure group and introduces the principal fibre bundle with a structure quantum group. The main difference is that while in the classical principal fibre bundle the structure group is the same for all fibres, in this bundle the structure quantum group may vary from fibre to fibre. More precisely, the structure quantum group is a continuous field \(G\) of quantum groups (i.e. a special continuous field of \(C^*\)- algebras in the sense of \textit{J. Dixmier} [Let \(C^*\)-algèbres et leurs représentations (1969; Zbl 0174.186)]). A principal \(\mathcal G\)- fibre bundle \(\mathcal P\) is then a continuous field of \(C^*\)-algebras such that over each point \(b\) of the basis the fibre \({\mathcal P}_ b\) is a \({\mathcal G}_ p\)-comodule isomorphic to \({\mathcal G}_ b\) as a \(C^*\)- algebra. The author shows that for the principal fibre bundles in this quantum sense there exist classifying spaces with the usual properties. He demonstrates his results on the quantum group \(SU_ \mu(n)\) showing that the classifying space for this quantum group coincides with the ordinary classifying space \(BSU(n)\).
