The purpose of this paper is to prove the convergence of the Aitken- Steffensen method for a fixed point equation in \(\mathbb{R}^ n\) using some theorems from the authors papers [Sugaku 33, 369-372 (1981; Zbl 0631.65050) and Proc. Japan Acad., Ser. A 62, 174-177 (1986; Zbl 0595.65054)].
