The paper deals with a very classical problem of transport theory, namely the radiative transfer in a semi-infinite atmosphere with no incident radiation and scattering according to the planetary phase function. \textit{S. Chamdrasekhar's} classical result [Radiative transfer (1960)] for the emergent intensity is reproduced through an integral transform technique.] It appears that the bibliography should be ampler than the one reported.
