The paper presents a generalized catalytic network made up of \(\underline n\) error-prone, self-catalytic self-replicative species. The catalytic network presents superimposed competition among the network species. Section 2 contains the main assumptions of the model. Section 3 defines the expression describing the time evolution of the system variables. An explicit formula for the steady states in the non-degenerate cases is given in Section 3.1, and in particular cases in Section 3.2. Section 3.3 contains a standard linear analysis of the model. Asymptotic behaviour and stability conditions are provided. In Section 4 the method is illustrated on interesting, complex examples.
