Let \(H\) be a subgroup of a finite group \(G\) and \(F\) be an arbitrary field of characteristic \(p\), and let \(P\) be a \(p\)-subgroup of \(H\). Let \(e\cdot FG\) and \(\widetilde e\cdot FH\) be an \(FG\)-block and an \(FH\)-block resp., and let \(V\) be an indecomposable \(e\cdot FG\)-module with vertex \(P\). The note starts with a generalized version of Nagao's theorem which implies a necessary condition for the reduced module of \(V\) having a component of vertex \(P\) in \(\widetilde e\cdot FH\), and shows a necessary and sufficient condition with Brauer maps such that the block \(\widetilde e\cdot FH\) contains a component of vertex \(P\) of the reduced module of \(V\). Another convenient sufficient condition is also given.
