Existence of points or open sets of continuity is proved for some classes of mappings defined on Baire topological vector spaces. In particular, it is proved that a Borel mapping from an open subset of a Baire topological vector space into an arbitrary metric space, whose restriction onto every straight line is continuous, is continuous itself in points of an everywhere dense set. It is also proved that, for a Borel, everywhere Gâteaux-differentiable mapping \(f\) from a normed space \(E\), whose square is a Baire space, into a normed space \(F\), there exists a ball \(B\subseteq E\), on which \(f\) is a Lipschitz mapping. For every separable, infinite-dimensional topological vector space \(E\) with infinite-dimensional dual space, an example of a function \(f: E\to \mathbb{R}\) is constructed, which is everywhere Gâteaux-differentiable and discontinuous in every point.
