An almost contact metric manifold \(N\) whose structure tensors \((\varphi,\xi,\eta,g)\) satisfy \((\nabla_ X \varphi)Y=-\eta(Y)\varphi X- g(X,\varphi Y)\xi\) is called a Kenmotsu manifold. If, in addition, the sectional curvature with respect to \(\varphi\)-invariant tangent 2-planes is constant on \(N\), then \(N\) is called a Kenmotsu space form. A submanifold \(M\) of an almost contact metric manifold is said to be semi- invariant if its tangents bundle splits orthogonally into smooth distributions \(D\oplus D^ \perp\oplus \mathbb{R} \xi\) such that \(\varphi\) maps \(D\) resp. \(D^ \perp\) into itself resp. into the normal bundle of \(M\). The authors obtain integrability conditions for certain subbundles of the tangent bundle of a submanifold of a Kenmotsu manifold and derive two criteria for a submanifold of a Kenmotsu space form to be semi- invariant.
