This paper proves a new theorem on the existence of Nash equilibria in games in strategic form. The main features of this theorem are that it allows an infinite number of players, and that it allows non-compact strategy sets. It assumes, however, that strategy sets are convex, that payoff functions are continuous and quasi-concave (in a player's own strategy), and that there is a compact subset of the product of the strategy sets which, in a sense, ``captures the strategic possibilities present in the game''. Another version of the result allows certain discontinuities in payoffs. The result is derived from some recent new result concerning sets with convex sections. The paper reviews and extends these results.
