This paper is concerned with problems of the form: given a continuous map \(s: U\to X\) which is exponentiable in the category of spaces over \(X\) (i.e. such that the functor \((-)\times s\) has a right adjoint \((-)^ s)\), when does this right adjoint preserve topological properties such as Hausdorffness? Such questions are of importance in the search for Cartesian closed categories of fibre spaces. Previous work in the area has been done by several authors including \textit{P. I. Booth}, \textit{R. Brown}, \textit{L. G. Lewis} and the reviewer. The main contribution of the present authors is a general method for tackling such problems first in the quasitopos of pseudotopological spaces, and then reflecting back into topological spaces.
