Equivariant Eilenberg-MacLane spaces and the equivariant Seifert-van Kampen and suspension theorems (Q1206535)

Let \(G\) be a compact Lie group and \(V\) a \(G\)-representation. The author defines \(V\)-dimensional equivariant Eilenberg-MacLane spaces and shows that their elementary properties imply a Seifert-van Kampen theorem and a suspension theorem for the \(V\)th homotopy groups of \(G\)-spaces. Using this suspension theorem the author obtains improved versions of Hurewicz theorems. This equivariant suspension theorem describes, too, under milder hypotheses, the precise extent to which this map fails to be injective and surjective.
