Lie algebras with a small number of ideals (Q1208279)

Let \(L\) be a Lie algebra and \({\mathcal L}(L)\) be the lattice of ideals of \(L\). If \({\mathcal L}(L)\) has at most 5 elements, then all \({\mathcal L}(L)\) are found. Using this list, a lengthy structure theorem for \(L\) is found. Quite concrete results are given if \(L\) is solvable over either an algebraically closed field or the real field.
